2022 Wedding Stationery Trends

As a creator of luxury wedding stationery, I’m always keeping a close eye on the latest trends and styles that have hit the industry. Your stationery is the first glimpse of your love story that your guests will get, so you want to effortlessly set the scene and offer your friends and family a small insight of what’s around the corner. If you’re feeling a little clueless, here’s a selection of inspiration on some of my favourite 2022 wedding stationery trends so far…

Minimalist Designs
The minimalism trend first made an appearance a handful of years ago and it looks like it’s here to stay for even longer. There really is nothing more stylish than the simplicity of clean typography and contemporary colour palettes. Minimalism also works with an intimate gathering or an extravagant celebration!

Custom Maps
Add a truly personal touch to your wedding stationery with a customised map. Not only will it look beautiful designed on your invitations, but it will be incredibly helpful for your guests too. You could also include super sweet details about locations that mean a lot to you – particularly if you got engaged at your venue or had your first date there. I recommend highlighting important areas of the venue and its grounds, such as the ceremony and reception location, or landmarks your loved ones may want to scout out.

Vellum Wraps
Add an extra dash of luxury to your wedding stationery suite with a vellum wrap. One of the biggest trends of 2022, these semi-transparent covers elegantly enclose your invitations, RSVP cards and any other additional information. They gather everything together in one place while looking seriously gorgeous.

Vintage Influences
You’ll be surprised what a huge impact that culture movements have on stationery trends. For instance, Netflix shows such as Bridgerton have had a real influence on stationery styles across the country. Couples are now seeking high-end invitations, designed with thick luxurious paper and delicate illustrations of their wedding venue. I’m talking magnificent manor houses, grand country estates and even fairy-tale castles! Couples are also swaying more towards a vintage feel, channelling those Bridgerton vibes throughout their colour palette. Neutral colours, such as soft champagne, pale pinks and a subtle lashing of gold
will be making more of an appearance this year. The perfect nod to the Regency era!
